About Us

The human singing voice is said to be the most beautiful and versatile of all the musical instruments. It is this God-given talent that Vox Manila hopes to share with the rest of the world through its unique brand of choral and chamber music.

Trained classical singers, members of Vox Manila consist of college students and young professionals of diverse backgrounds. In fact, prior to Vox Manila, their love for music has already brought them to Europe, Asia and the US, winning in top international choral competitions and enjoying world acclaim in several choral festivals abroad.

Today, members of Vox Manila gather regularly to rehearse and update their repertoire. Outreach performances also form part of the group's goals.

Leading Vox Manila as musical director is Sheen Leem J. Sanchez. A member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers (Madz), Sheen has toured key cities and provinces across Europe and Asia and is part of the group's choral outreach program that brings the Madz to remote provinces across the Philippines.

With the support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and together with other members of the Madz, Sheen assists Madz choirmaster and National Artist for Music Professor Andrea O. Veneracion in training gifted Filipinos across the country who may lack the means for formal choral education.
